As the name suggests the Maverick goes against the grain with its slightly shorter blade and longer handle*. The concept has its roots amongst the professional cricketers who liked the feel, balance, and manoeuvrability this combination provided. With a full profile, big edges and moderate duck bill, the Maverick provides a real sense of power as you take guard and look down your bat! *The Maverick can also be made with a normal blade and handle length.
